The packaging: very nice, simple and stylish
The Menu: very clever and setting the mood. The Queen on her way to the Throne.

Behing The Scenes: I have to say that this is by far the best Behind The Scenes ever included on a DVD. It really takes you backstage and gives you an inside of what was going on in her life and the lives of her crew while they were on tour. It's so sweet to see her just being herself, showing her humour and interaction with her entourage. It simply kills when she grabs the walkey talkey from her dresser and shouts "start the f*** show mother f*****" or when she's rehearsing "Don't Cry For Me Argentina" in Buenos Aires and stops the song to let the fans scream (knowing for sure they would). God, I love this woman!
The show:
Many things have been already said about the show, some of them negatives and others more positives. But there's one thing that nobody can deny and that is that this woman still knows how to own a stage and take thousands of fans to a total ecstasis. And this show in particular is the best example of that gift she's got. Madonna is and will always be simply THE ultimate performer like no other female (or even male) artist will ever be.
She couldn't have chosen a better city to record what w
Coming back to the city after 13 years was the biggest event in town, and they had the privilege to have the most stadium shows in the same city for the entire tour. That just shows how big M is in Argentina and how much grattitude she has towards the love they have for her.
The argentine fans, and the audience in general, are the most energetic, passionate and lively crowd in the world. They experience the show as if there's no tomorrow. The energy in the air is thrilling, you can certainly feel it on every pore of your body.
My boyfriend, my brother, many dear friends and myself had the privilege to attend the shows that were chosen for the official recording. The shoots took place on Sunday 7th and Monday 8th of December 2008 at the River Plate Stadium. It was interesting to see that most of the final shoots are from the 8th of December show, considering that that was the night when a stormy rain attempted to cancel the event, but as the phrase goes "the Show must go on" and indeed went.
Probably the fact that makes this show even more special is that I can see the faces of many people I know and love: my brother for starters (who happens to be in it quite a few times!), Matias, Paula, Orlando, Thomas and Natalia are amongst the familiar faces I could recognise.
Queuing for those shows was the warmest experience by far. Met so many wonderful people and the atmosphere was quite relaxing and friendly. The organisation and respect were admirable (comparing to the agressive and wild european queues) excepts from the fact that a few people spoiled it by hiding themselves round the corner of the stadium to enter the venue before the queuers.
Finally I would like to conclude this blog with a few words about Sticky & Sweet. This tour was definitely a great show to commemorate a magnificent career that spans more than two decades with no signs of slowing down. It re-captures that image of the Old School Madonna we all fell in love with and doing what she knows best. The concept of the show it's more funky and cool than previous ones. It might not be as grand as Confessions or iconic as Blond
I raise the glass to a woman that has been inspiring and entertaining generations for so many years. Let the Magic and love she irradiates never end.
A devotee fan
